About jcrofford

I have been taking medication for several years now due to extreme anxiety attacks. I had run out of my medication and could not afford to replace it for several days. On about day 7 I started having suicidal thoughts and uncontrollable crying. I went to my primary doctor and he told me that I amsuffering from depression as well. That I needed to go see a phychiatrist and gave me the names of several. Most wanted me to be in a research program. That means coming off my med. I can't do that. In June I filed for SS. Disability Benefits. I requested that my case adjuticator send me to their doctor to get a second opinion. I went and was told I suffer from Bipolar Disorder with Manic Depression and I am subject to severe anxiety attacks. All of my medical records were sent to Social Security and in September of this year, my claim was declined. I have filed for an appeal. So far I have not heard anything. They told me not to call back until January. I have had my car repossessed, I can not pay utilities and I am going to be evicted within the next 30 days. I have already received a certified letter to vacate. I have an 8 year old son. I can't buy him clothes to fit him. Last night he had 3 boiled hotdogs with no bun because I have no groceries. Please help.

 in response to humbled!!...

I hate having this.  It started when I was in my early 20's.  I did not know what it was.  I have not fainted, I usually feel it coming on.   I have had to pull over and call 911.  I was going to see my sister and it was only my son and I in the car.  I took a pocket knife and cut my shirt off to keep from blacking out.   Also, with me having Bipolar Disorder does not help.  Thank you for your kind words of support.   Pray that SSA approves my disability.

I sooo understand what you're going through with the anxiety attacks & I feel really feel for you! I've been having severe anxiety attacks for about 10 years. I've actually fainted in public too many times to count even though im on medication (Paxil) for the anxiety. I would'nt wish this on even my worst enemy (if I had one). Good luck, and God Bless.
